Term 2
Term 2 is here - time seems to be flying by! It's not long until Christmas!
As ever the term is full to the brim of exciting learning opportunities so firstly, we are starting the term reflecting on World War 1, 100 years on as part of History, which includes a workshop on Rutland in the First World War. The children have already compiled a long list of questions they want answering! Following on from that, we will be focusing on a European study - Spain.
Class 4 learning for Term 2 also includes:
Literacy – we will be writing poetry, creating images in the style of a Haiku, followed by a unit on persuasive writing using our Village (Spyton Lake) as the backdrop.
RE - it's a really interesting topic, investigating how spirituality is conveyed through the Arts.
Design – we are going to be inspired by Gaudi!
PE – we will be doing dance (Tuesday) and hockey (Wednesday) this term so please remember your kit.
L2l – our focus is on being resilient learners.
This term , as part of our ongoing focus on becoming more independent, we are concentrating on what we should do when we are finished our work, exploring a range of different options. Again, we will be awarding a rosette to the Independent Learner of the week.
We will keep you updated on our progress...
