What fabulous costumes Class 1! You all looked amazing and we loved how creative all your outfits were! We enjoyed looking at each others' costumes and guessing the book characters. After our whole school welcome assembly, we went to our first activity. During the day, EYFS and KS1 took part in 3 activities linked to different Julia Donaldson books. In Foundation children enjoyed the story of Stickman and made their own Stickman character. In Year 1, they listened to the story Paper Dolls and found out how to make their own paper dolls. Finally, in Year 2 they choreographed a dance for the Monkey Puzzle story. The brilliant thing was seeing the children work together, help each other and enjoy themselves. What a super World Book Day, despite the chilly weather outside!
