A nourishing, well balanced two course meal is served which is cooked on our school site daily. Children have a choice of main courses and dessert. Hot lunches can be ordered in advance for the days they are required. It is not an either or option, Families can choose to have only hot meals or mix and match with school packed lunches or those bought from home.
In England and Wales, schools must provide a free midday meal to very child in Key Stage 1 as well pupils whose parents receive income-based job seekers allowance or income support, or if they are receiving support as asylum seekers. We will also provide a free meal if a pupil's parent receives Child Tax Credit and their income is below a certain level or if they get the guarantee part of Pension Credit (this must be applied for online, please see the office for further details).
Children whose parents do not wish them to have a school meal may bring a packed lunch, which will be eaten in the dining hall.
We encourage all children to bring an unbreakable water bottle to keep them refreshed throughout the day which can be topped up in the class rooms or at the water fountain. Please do not send fizzy drinks.
Milk is available for children until the term after they have reached their fifth birthday.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
