FORCED SCHOOL CLOSURE
The Government advice remains the same: home is the safest place. Every child that can be safely cared for at home should be to limit the chances of COVID-19 spreading.
During the period of forced school closure, children who have a parent who is critical, front-line, to the COVID-19 response, and absolutely need to attend, and/or children who are 'vulnerable' will be cared for at Langham CE Primary School.
If you need care for your child, please contact: whissendineoffice@rltschools.com as soon as you possibly can. We need as much notice as possible to ensure that we have the correct adult/pupil ratios in place. We will also need to collect certain information from you before we can say if we have a place. We are working with a skeleton staff with care being shared between Langham and Whissendine staff.
Families: Please see Mrs Schofield's DOJO message, dated 3 April 2020, about contacting us, if you need us, during the Easter break.
Potential Phased Re-opening from 1 June 2020
Below is a copy of Mrs Schofield's 19 May 2020 letter, that was ParentMailed to all families, detailing the arrangements for a potential phased re-opening from 1 June 2020.
Please also see the risk assessment.
Families have now responded stating whether they are returning their child to EYFS, Y1 and/or Y6. Individual letters were sent, via ParentMail, on Monday 25 May 2020.
Please remember that should you change your decision regarding whether to return your child to School, on 1 June 2020, you must contact the School office first: whissendineoffice@rltschools.com. We need to know which children are going to be walking through our gates, each morning, during the three week potential phased re-opening period.
