Christmas at the Museum
What a super trip we had to Oakham Museum. Emma told us about Christmas long ago, we found out about decorations, the Yule log, the first Christmas cards and what Victorian children might have got in their stockings!
Then after a snack we got busy making pomanders which smelt amazing and got to explore the Museum while hunting for the old fashioned Christmas cards which were well hidden among the different exhibits! Fantastic team work Class 1!
To finish we made our own cup and ball toys and Christmas cards. What a busy morning!
Thank you to Mrs Cook, Mrs Tatham and Mrs Honan. We couldn't have done it without you!
We will be finding out more about children in Victorian times in term 4........
