What an amazing journey last term was - watching you all grow in confidence as you created and then performed in your own show was a real joy and we are all very proud of you.  This term is going to be an equally busy one as it is only 5 weeks long, and yet, we still have a huge amount of learning to squeeze in!

Our maths focus switches from 'fractions' to 'time' and we will be ensuring that we are all confident using the 12 and 24 hour clock as well as reading roman numerals.  We will continue to make connections across the areas of maths that we learn about when we look at the clock face (fractions - 1/4 and half past) as well as when we link multiplication with division and division with fractions (if I say Big Pile and Buckets you will all know what I am talking about!).

We are looking at rocks and fossils in science and will be linking that to our work in literacy which is on biographies and auto-biographies.  We will be learning about Mary Anning and pulling together information about her life and discoveries to create a mini biography and then using those skills, will create an auto-biography of our own.

Mrs Honorez will continue in her quest to create bi-lingual scholars out of us all when she takes us for French on Tuesday mornings.  Mr Eshelby, who will be taking us for athletics, will sculpt our skills and physique and Mrs Evans, who will be teaching us yoga, will channel our minds and energies.  Both of these will take place on Thursday afternoons, with swimming lessons at Melton pool on Friday mornings.

If time allows when we are not running, throwing, swimming or stretching then we will have art as well - trying to create images of ourselves.

Spellings are given out on Monday and tested on the following two Fridays.  Maths homework will be given out on Monday and collected in the following Monday.

The sun is shining... I just know that it is going to be another GREAT term!
