Today we walked up to St Andrews church in Whissendine to take part in some activities to give us an understanding of Remembrance. Rev Deborah and Mrs Watchorn were there to greet us. It was fabulous because we were able to wander around, with a friend, to investigate all the interesting parts of the church. We also painted our own special flint poppy which we will be able to take home. In another part of the church we were able to sit and look at an information book all about Remembrance – we had lots of questions to ask. Finally Rev Deborah provided well received refreshments and we then had a look at some of the special items that were in church from last years anniversary. When we left, we each placed a stone with the poppy wreaths.
We loved to see Eco Bear at the church! He has finally returned to school!
