STEM

The link above takes you to a website with a range of activities that you can complete, focusing on Science, Maths, Computing and DT. This page is constantly being updated with new activities, so it is worth checking back to see what else there is.

Choose which subject you would like.

The 'cross-curricular activities' link has ‘Starters for STEM’ activities. These are groups of ten tasks that are designed for use at home to help children develop their science, technology, engineering and maths skills. These activities are designed to be easy to resource and provide children with the stimulus to talk about the world around them. If you don’t have the resources for a particular activity, choose another!

Below, I have included an example of the type of activities that are included in this section. They are fun, quick activities designed to get you thinking!

If you're after a more in-depth session, looking at a specific area, you can click on the Science, Maths, Computing and DT links which take you to a group of activities with an age range guide so you know which ones are most appropriate. You do have to sign up to access these, but registration is free.

If you click the Science link, you get to a section that looks like the image below, you can read the descriptions to see which ones look interesting.

Have fun!
