Welcome to Year 5 and what an exciting year we have ahead. This term our topic is called ‘Meet the Flintstones’. We will be exploring the Stone Age up to the Iron Age and the important discoveries they made. In literacy we will be reading ‘Wolf Brother’ and we will be using this to write our own adventure stories. Our imaginary village ‘Nettleby’ has been created and we will be using this to drive our non-fiction. We will also be looking at Sikhism in RE and in Music,  Mr Barlow will be introducing you to ‘STOMP’. PE days are Monday and Tuesday and you will need both an indoor and outdoor kit.
