Term 2 - Fire! Fire!
And so the Year is 1666; it is a warm September night in Pudding Lane, London. All around people are sleeping tightly in their beds. All is about to change.....
It's just past midnight and the fire in the bakery is beginning to take hold. Smoke starts to fills the houses and very quickly the fire begins to spread. The Great Fire of London has begun. It will take 3 days to get under control.
In term 2 we will focus our learning on The Great Fire of London and the changes it made on our capital. We will investigate what we know about those events 350 years ago. We will be writing letters in literacy describing the events of that fateful night. We shall also be looking at Tudor buildings and making our own model Tudor London. In Computing we will be learning to create an e-book using the ipads. As part of this we shall be making our books using the facts we learn from our history topic.

In RE we will be learning about a Hindu festival and the ways in which Hindu's celebrate important parts of their religion.
Our PE this term will include football, games and yoga. Make sure your PE is in school all week as you will need it!
In maths we continue to focus our number work on addition and subtraction but we will also look at some statistics and 3D shape activities this term. Its going to be a busy one!
