Welcome to Term 5! The long awaited and much anticipated performance is nearly upon us and Mrs Young and I wanted to thank you all for your patience.  We wanted to make it as amazing as we knew it could be and so we have allowed you all the extra time to learn your lines, paint that scenery and gather those costumes.  Not long now until those friends and family members will be flooding through the door, taking their seats, laughing, crying (hopefully at the right moments) and generally feeling as proud of you all as we are! Lights, camera, action!

 

When not on stage showing off (giggle) this term holds many other delights... We will be continuing with our numeracy and literacy but, where possible, taking our maths outside and applying what we have been learning in some 'real life' context. We will be learning about Light and Shadow in science, followed by a chance to learn about Earth and Space'.  Wouldn't it be lovely to be an astronaut for just one day?  If we were, we would need a Lunar Buggy wouldn't we?  Well, we'd better spend some time in DT designing and making one then hadn't we?  We will also be using Holst's Planets Suite to inspire us artistically and musically. 

 

This is a busy term for PE, with swimming every Friday morning and Forest School for the last three weeks of term (Tuesday, Wednesday and Wednesday afternoons) as well as an extra Judo session on the 29th April.
