Term 6

It’s Term 6 – our final term, how did that happen? Time flies when you are having fun…

This term our Topic is ’Food glorious food’ and we will explore the question – Where does our energy come from? In Science, we will investigate the digestive system with a focus on teeth and the process of digestion along with creating healthy bread in DT. Initially, in Literacy we will write a formal letter and linked to our topic we will create a persuasive leaflet on healthy eating. I'm very excited to be able to tell you that Hambledon Bakery are coming to talk to us about bread making and let us taste some samples!

Nottingham Building Society will be running a Money academy for year 4 across four sessions in Term 6 – we are really excited about this and bring a real life approach to our decimal learning journey.

Class 4 learning for Term 6 also includes:

Computing – The focus will be on coding skills along with debugging.

Maths – We continue to focus on our times tables with ttRockstars of course.

PE – Athletics this term every Thursday and on Fridays we will continue going Swimming so please remember your kit.

L2l – our focus is on being respectful learners, an incredibly important attribute when working as part of a team.

RE – we will focus on values.
This term our focus for Independent Learner of the week is being respectful learners, we are expecting to see lots of nominations on the board!

It’s going to be a fantastic term and we can’t wait to get started!

Mrs Young, Mrs Mould and the Year 4 team.
