Whissendine Model Railway
Today some members of the Melton & District Model Engineering Society opened up their miniature railway at the Whissendine Sports Ground for our children. We were able to ride on their steam model train! We noticed that it worked in the same way as the one at Stapleford Park with coal to heat the water which made steam to turn the pistons! We also saw a replica 'Foden' lorry. Inside their shed they had several small working models on a table top display. A brilliant morning - how lucky are we!
