Welcome to Year 2

We have a busy year ahead with lots of fun learning and exciting topics planned. On this page you will find homework, photographs and learning information under the relevant term.  

Homework

A Maths homework task will be set each Tuesday, which is to be handed in the following Monday. The tasks are intended to provide children with an opportunity to either consolidate their work from Year 1 or practise something we have been learning in class.

A paper copy will be sent out each week and, just in case, I will also upload a copy to the class page.

Spellings

Spellings will be on a two week plan.  On the first Monday children will be taught the new rule before receiving their list of spellings to practise and learn at home.  Spelling books then need to come into school on a Friday to be checked and will be sent out again ready for the children to practise the same set of words but put each one into a sentence.  Again all spellings will be uploaded onto the website in case anybody needs a second copy. 

PE

P.E days for each term will be communicated via DOJO. This year, we are asking children to bring their P.E kit into school, in a bag, and get changed during the school day. Please can you send these in on the first day of each term.
