Children in Need
What a super day we had raising money for Children in Need! We enjoyed wearing our own clothes and buying delicious cakes from the older children. Then it was on with the 2p trail. The line of 2p coins stretched from the school gate on Main St, right around the path onto the playground. The Year 2 children made Pudsey Bear faces in teams which looked great!
After we had picked all the money up, it was on to the serious business of counting. We stacked 5 2p coins to make 10p, then practised counting in 2's. Once there were 10 piles of 10p , the coins could go into a money bag. The final total from the 2p coins was an amazing £105.62 and the grand total from the day was £370.20. Thank you so much!
