What is a Knowledge Organiser?

A Knowledge Organiser is a set of key facts or information that pupils need to know and be able to recall in order to show understanding of a unit / topic / subject.

Our Knowledge Organisers will include the key information that the children need to know as well as twelve key words (progressive throughout the year groups) that are linked to that topic - The Vocabulary Dozen.  There might also be images, diagrams or timelines to help the children understand the subject.  We will have little quizzes throughout the term to check their understanding of the information included on the Knowledge Organiser.
