World Book Day
What a super celebration of the 20th World Book Day! We started off with a whole school assembly and a spot the book character quiz, then headed back to our classrooms for a day of activities all linked to books. EYFS, Class 1 and Class 2 all worked together in mixed groups to take part in 3 workshops. In Class 2 they looked at the story of the Gingerbread Man, making their own gingerbread biscuits, buying things from the Storyland Shop and making maps of where the gingerbread man went. In Class 1 the children read the story Owl Babies before making their own pictures of the fluffy baby owls with pom poms. In EYFS they read the story When will it be Spring? and went out onto the field to search for signs of Spring outside.
Then we got into pyjamas and dressing gowns and took our teddies to a bedtime story with hot chocolate and marshmallows!
