term 4 - Castles

Castles

This term we are going to be finding out what it might have been like to live in a castle. How would it be different from our lives today? We will start by remembering our visit to Oakham Castle in term 1 and what we know about the Tower of London. We will be learning the names of the different parts of the castle and drawing our own. There will be a 3D shape castle challenge and we will also make a class model of a castle, hopefully complete with drawbridge and moat!

We will enjoy lots of different stories set in castles and have a go at writing our own using lots of adjectives.

Very excitingly, on Wednesday 22nd March we will be heading off to Lincoln Castle to take part in their Castle Wow day- details to follow.

Our homework challenge this term is to be a Spring detective and try and spot signs of Spring. We will also be looking at different stories from the Bible, including the Easter story.
